Copy Typing

Whether it is formal legal documents or handwritten manuscripts, Indraft Solutions has the technology and experience to copy type any length of document.

Based on your instructions, you can have just the content or we can reformat the document to your own house style. We can add back cross-referencing – making life a lot easier where the document will be further worked with – and we can deal with complex formatting such as tables and/or columns.

Please send us your scanned documents and we will convert them to your chosen format.

Turnaround times

We offer a 24hr turnaround for copy typing work, although often the work will be returned more quickly than that. For particularly long documents with complex formatting requirements or where the document is in manuscript rather than typed text, the turnaround time may be extended.

If you have a particularly urgent copy typing job, we are normally able to get such work returned as a priority, depending on the other work we have in hand and the length/complexity of the document.

Confidentiality

Indraft recognises that its clients' work is often sensitive and confidential, and we always prepare and sign a Confidentiality Agreement in favour of the client. All files are transferred via our ShareFile tools, which encrypt the files at rest and in transit. Indraft is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and complies with GDPR requirements and guidelines issued by the ICO in relation to keeping clients' information confidential.

There are similar Confidentiality Agreements in place with all our subcontractors and the actual people who are working on the files. The team are also restricted from carrying their mobile phones whilst on the working floor and must always sign in and out, which maintains the highest level of security and confidentiality for all work.

Technology

Whilst the latest OCR technology can produce a document that looks the same as the copied document (often an historic lease, transfer or other contract), when you come to edit this document you will find that there may be problems in the formatting.

Our copy typing service uses OCR but then builds on that result (where requested) by checking the formatting of the document for errors as well as adding back in automated cross-referencing. Where you need to do further work on the document, this can be invaluable and save time in the long run.
